Luohanping

The Eighteen Arhats are said to appear at the nation's northern frontier. Luohanping is located at the northwest corner of Xiyin Island, amidst a cluster of reefs north of Shangmenliu. Local residents call it 'Luohanping Ben.' This name, 'Ping Ben,' refers to the area's unique landscape, which combines flat reefs, sea-eroded channels, and sea stacks. From the sea, observing the reef cluster from a distance, one can admire the numerous towering sea stacks, whose formation resembles the 'Eighteen Arhats.' This led residents to name them 'Luohan Pillars,' giving the area its name. Visitors are encouraged to use their imagination and look for the 'Eighteen Arhats' here! Note: Luohanping is a military stronghold with troops stationed nearby. Visitors are reminded not to include any military camps in their photos.
