Gratitude Pavilion

Standing in this pavilion, you can take in a panoramic view of Dongyin and Xiyin. Along the Zhongzhu Dyke towards Xiyin, there is a pavilion featuring a seated statue of Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo, known as the 'Gratitude Pavilion'. It was built by the military and civilians of Dongyin to commemorate Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo's support for major construction projects on the island. Inside the Gratitude Pavilion, President Chiang's statue sits majestically facing south. The motto 'Cordial and natural, dedicated and sacrificing' represents the spirit of his lifelong contributions. Ascending the Gratitude Pavilion offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Dongyin and Xiyin, with vast sea views. The sea shimmers in summer, while the sea breeze is chilling in winter, offering distinct experiences.
