Indian Head Rock

A scenic wonder sculpted by nature. Looking along the coastal mountain ridge near Dahan Stronghold, one can see a rock formation resembling the profile of a Native American head, lying along the horizon. This is due to the long-term erosion of the coastal rocks by waves and wind. Some people say it looks like King Kong or a gorilla's head. If you walk to the entrance of Beihai Tunnel and look to the right, some also compare the entire slope to a reclining crocodile. Its remarkably lifelike appearance is astonishing and truly sparks everyone's imagination. Indian Head Rock, Dahan Stronghold, and Beihai Tunnel are located close to each other and are near the Nangan Visitor Center. If you visit Ren'ai Village in Nangan, consider planning a route to tour multiple attractions, enjoying both natural wonders and military landscapes amidst the magnificent scenery and sound of crashing waves. Note: Indian Head Rock is located directly above Dahan Stronghold and can be viewed from the observation deck to the right when facing Beihai Tunnel.
