Qiugui Pavilion

Qiugui Mountain Reservoir is located on the eastern side of Qiugui Mountain, built along its valley, and serves as one of the island's important water supply stations in the western district. There are two pavilions near the reservoir; one stands against the mountain and the other is built by the sea, both offering picturesque views of the beautiful reservoir. One of these is named "Qiugui Pavilion." Qiugui Pavilion faces Fuao Port across the sea, with the beauty of the harbor right before your eyes. In summer, the gentle sea breeze makes it suitable for visitors to enjoy the scenery and rest. Following the rutted path beside the reservoir deeper into the mountains, after a scenic and winding journey, you can reach Furen Village, a secluded paradise in western Nangan. Furen Village — like a hidden Utopia. After passing Qiugui Mountain Reservoir, you arrive at Mazu's "Furen Village." Walking along the undulating, winding paths within the village, you can experience its simplicity and lush greenery. A few houses are hidden among the foliage, and looking down from above, the sea stretches out in a vibrant blue. The legend behind its name says that in early times, local men made a living by fishing at sea, so most of those left in the village were women and children. On one occasion, pirates landed to loot, but the women bravely fought back and repelled them, hence the name.
