Vegetable Park

A happy farm, a utopia by the sea. Directly in front of the Lienchiang County Government lies a rare flat piece of land in Matsu. Various vegetables are cultivated in its partitioned plots. In Matsu, characterized by its undulating terrain and numerous steep slopes, this lush green space stands out as exceptionally unique. Due to the many landowners within the park, integration for commercial development proved difficult. Consequently, the county government tidied and beautified the surrounding area, christening it with the resounding name 'Shanlong Vegetable Park.' Thus, a park unique in the world, situated in a prime commercial district and featuring seasonal vegetables, came into existence. As you wander along the paths in the Vegetable Park, the air is rich with the earthy scent of leafy greens. The crops on display are cultivated by local residents; kale, celery, spinach, water spinach, lettuce, crown daisy, and green onions are among the common vegetables enjoyed by locals. Most of these produce are sold at the nearby Shizi Market, gracing the tables of Matsu residents with fresh, delicious dishes.
