A must-visit family attraction in Beigan. Tanghoudao Beach is located next to Beigan Airport. Originally a tombolo connecting Tangqi Village and Hou'ao Village, its extremely fine and pristine white sand earned it the nickname 'Sugar Sand'. The vast beach, stretching for hundreds of meters, resembled a plain in the sea. At high tide, the beach would be submerged, with only a narrow path visible; at low tide, the beaches on both sides would gradually emerge. This unique phenomenon of the path appearing and disappearing with the tides made it a rare geological feature. However, due to the construction of Beigan Airport and to facilitate transportation, a road was built through the middle of the tombolo, dividing the beach into two, and the 'sand-linking-island' marvel is no longer. Today, while strolling here, besides feeling the fine sand beneath your feet and the cool seawater, you can also see planes taking off and landing at extremely close range. It's a rare airport landscape in the world, worth visiting in your final moments while waiting to board your flight. Experience the magical Blue Tears up close. One of Beigan's iconic Blue Tears spots, the Mazu Blue Tears viewing season is from March to September each year. As waves crash ashore, blue bioluminescence sparkles among them, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. Strolling along the beach with the waves, you can see the blue glow shimmering around your feet. If you want to witness the beautiful Blue Tears, be sure to seize the opportunity!
