Beigan Visitor Center

Just a three-minute drive from Baisha Port, you'll find the Beigan Visitor Center, located on the main street of Banli Village. Inside, the visitor center offers a wide array of travel brochures and information, providing various tourism consultations, video screenings, and interpretive guided tours. This allows visitors to quickly gather information about sightseeing in Beigan, making it the top choice for the first stop on a Beigan trip. In addition to the service counter, the first floor also hosts a souvenir shop and Beigan's only duty-free store. If you're tired from walking, the second floor features a light meal and coffee shop, perfect for visitors to dine, relax, enjoy the sea view, and prepare for the next leg of their Matsu journey. Video screening times: 09:00-16:30, with a new screening every half hour, each lasting approximately 11 minutes. Old Buildings Reborn: The Century-Old Banli Traditional House. If you want to experience the life of early Matsu residents, you must visit the 'Banli Traditional House' directly opposite the Beigan Visitor Center. Built with herringbone and and stretcher bond masonry, the exterior of this house features neatly arranged stone walls, while the interior is constructed with original timber. It was truly a mansion in its day! Today, after renovation, the original exterior walls have been preserved, and the structural beams and columns have been replaced. The right side of the grand house is open for tourist visits, while the left side serves as a traditional guesthouse. Walking along the historic wooden corridors, you might occasionally hear the familiar creak of the wooden floor.
