To allow visitors closer access to Dapeng Bay, the Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area Administration has capitalized on the bay's lagoon conditions to create a 200-meter artificial beach at the sailing base. The fine, dense sand comes from the bay's outlet. Combined with Dapeng Bay's uniquely blessed natural environment, which offers wind but no waves, it has become a favorite spot for domestic windsurfing enthusiasts. From April to June each year, the Dapeng Bay Sailing Series activities are held here, combining sports and tourism to actively promote water sports in Taiwan and establish its status as a representative sailing base in the country. Dapeng Bay is the ideal place to experience sailing, and an increasing number of tourists are discovering it as a place to try sailing. To beat the summer heat by the scorching seaside, a 'Sailing Cafe' has also been set up next to the beach, offering coffee, cold drinks, and light meals. Sitting in the cafe, enjoying the comfortable, cool air conditioning and sipping a smoothie feels like an oasis in the desert. From the floor-to-ceiling windows, you can admire the beautiful beach and the expansive lagoon, and even gaze at the verdant Dawu Mountain in the distance. Enjoying a coffee here is incredibly pleasant, making it a perfect spot to steal a half-day of leisure. The range of water activities in Dapeng Bay is becoming increasingly diverse.
