Donggang Fishing Port Fishery Products Direct Sales Center (formerly Huagiao Market)

The old Huagiao Market was rebuilt on its original site due to its age, and was completely finished and opened in May 2012. It was renamed the "Donggang Fishing Port Fishery Products Direct Sales Center," presenting a newer, more distinctive tourist and recreational fish market, hoping to promote the upgrade of the local fishing industry and boost local tourism resources. The new direct sales center covers a vast area of nearly 1,500 ping (approx. 4,950 sq meters), with over 400 stalls planned. A dazzling array of fresh and live seafood is available in great variety. It not only has the scale of a seafood department store but also retains the human touch of a traditional market, making it Pingtung County's largest seafood retail market. Currently, there are fresh fish areas, raw/cooked food areas, local fishery products areas, and food stalls. The rooftop features an observation deck where visitors can enjoy the sea view and feel the sea breeze. There is also a large parking lot nearby for convenient parking.
