Peng Village Wetland

Peng Village Wetland covers an area of approximately 10 hectares, located at the junction of Linbian Township and Donggang Township. It was originally used as a military camp. Three open ditches pass by the site: an unnamed ditch on the east side of Datang Village (intercepting external wastewater), the Nanpu Weir branch line, and the Haifeng Weir branch line. This wetland primarily diverts drainage from the community on the east side of Datang Village, the Nanpu Weir branch line, and the Haifeng Weir branch line into the Peng Village Wetland. After reducing pollution through natural purification, the water is then discharged into Dapeng Bay Lagoon. The wetland design primarily utilizes surface flow, creating diverse habitat spaces with deep and shallow ponds. To increase treatment efficiency, a subsurface flow wetland system has been added in the later section of the wetland's sedimentation pond to help remove most pollutants from the water. After the influent enters, it first undergoes pre-treatment through a sedimentation pond and media bed, then flows into a series of surface flow wetlands before reaching the outlet.
