Wulu Fort

Follow the winding Southern Cross-Island Highway to the Wulu community. From there, follow the signs along a small path to the Wulu Fort, hidden deep within the mountains. Two ancient cannons, over a century old, are positioned at a vantage point. From here, you can overlook the expansive Wulu community, Wulu Gorge, and the distant, undulating Central Mountain Range. The excellent views and the weathered cannon bodies bear witness to a poignant history of resistance against Japan.
