Fuyuan Forest Recreation Area

Fuyuan Forest Recreation Area features numerous forest trails, suspension bridges, waterfalls, and the renowned Butterfly Valley, famous for its butterfly viewing and hot springs. From March to August each year, Butterfly Valley offers an excellent season for butterfly viewing. Visitors can witness over 30 species of butterflies, such as the Blue-banded Swallowtail, Red-base Jezebel, and Bush Brown, fluttering gracefully. Furthermore, from March to May and September to November, you can also admire Black-winged Fireflies and Taiwanese Mountain Window Fireflies. As dusk falls and you witness the twinkling lights of fireflies dancing among the grasslands and forests, it is always a truly breathtaking sight.
