Tapalong Tribe

Tapalong Tribe, located in Guangfu Township, means 'crab' in the Amis language. As a result, lively wooden crab totems can be seen everywhere in the tribe. It not only preserves traditional Amis houses, tribal weapons, wine vessels, and other artifacts, but is also the only place in Taiwan that produces red glutinous rice. This precious traditional tribal food led Tapalong Tribe to establish the Red Glutinous Rice Cultural Museum and host the Red Glutinous Rice Cultural Festival, allowing visitors to experience the vibrancy of the festival and savor local tribal cuisine.
