Tiantaishan

The Tiantaishan hill-and-plain grassland, at an elevation of 53 meters, is Wang'an Island's highest peak. Nearby is Penghu's famous aragonite production area. The surrounding grasslands are flat, with occasional cattle and sheep roaming, creating a naturally picturesque scene. Tiantaishan has become the best spot to overlook Wang'an Island and Huayu across the strait. Tiantaishan's rock layers are primarily composed of microgabbro porphyrite blocks, with a platy jointing pattern. Below the western sea cliff, there is a magnificent basalt landscape. Following the trail down to the western coast, one can discover a magnificent 30-meter-high sea cave. The beauty of the microgabbro porphyrite's joints differs from the columnar basalt landscapes of Hujing and Tongpan Islands. The interwoven platy joints of Tiantaishan form beautiful 'stone flowers'.
