Longcheng

Longcheng is a geological formation, a section of terrain about 600 meters long, curving inwards and facing south, composed of alternating layers of tuff and basalt. After millions of years of marine erosion, it has formed a flat sea-eroded platform. As lava flows covered the area, they were subjected to compressive forces, resulting in dynamic folding phenomena. The varied colors of different types of algae and moss further enhance the three-dimensional effect of these folded lines and patterns. From the top of the cliff cone, looking down at the platform, one can see winding green, white, gray, and brown curves. Viewed as a whole, it resembles a coiled dragon churning in the blue sky and clear sea, hence its name, 'Longcheng'.
