Wangfu Stone

Due to the dangerous and arduous fishing work undertaken by the men on the island, which often led to accidents, Qimei Island was early on jokingly referred to as "Widows' Island." Legend has it that a loving couple lived near the Wangfu Stone. One day, the husband went out fishing and was long overdue. His wife went alone to the shore to wait for her beloved's return. Day after day, she eventually succumbed to hunger and cold and passed away. Later generations buried her by the sea, and the rocky shore miraculously weathered into the form of a woman lying on her back, vividly resembling her hair, body, feet, and even a pregnant belly. Thus, the legend of the Wangfu Stone spread far and wide.
