Pengpeng Beach

Pengpeng Beach is located in Baisha Township, situated between Niaoyu and Yuanbeiyu. It was formed by ocean currents eroding sand from areas such as Jibei Island, Niaoyu, and Yuanbeiyu, depositing it offshore of Niaoyu to create a natural sandbar. Boosted by Typhoon Wayne in 1986, it accumulated into a sandy island, and since then, Pengpeng Beach has not been submerged even at high tide. With continuous accumulation, its current tip is gradually connecting with Niaoyu, allowing visitors to wade across at low tide.
