Visitor Essentials

Xiyuping Islet, the westernmost of the Four Southern Islands, is approximately a 25-minute boat ride from Wang'an. It is adjacent to Dongyuping Islet, and the two islands are closely related, collectively referred to as 'Banping Islet' or 'Yuping Islets'. From the shore, you can see the island's spiritual center, 'Huaniang Temple,' which enshrines Huaniang as its main deity, along with other deities such as Wushuai and Mazu. To reach the village, one must walk up a slope called 'Haohanpo' (Heroes' Slope) from the pier. Here, you can see many traditional houses built with stacked coral stones and basalt. However, most residents have already moved away.
