Hujing Military Observation Post

Perched on Hujing's west mountain is a military observation post that resembles a small bunker. Beyond its visible stone structure, it is actually an underground military facility. It was used by the Japanese forces during the Japanese colonial period for sea surveillance and observation, hence locals called it the 'Ant Hole'. Around 1940, the Japanese forces began constructing coastal defense-related military facilities in Hujing, and this observation post was among the earliest to be built. It was once rumored to be the 'Southern Advance Command Post for Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto', but subsequent verification has confirmed this to be a false rumor. This 'Ant Hole' was simply a post for coastal defense troops.
