Zhuwan Village in Xiyu Township boasts a harbor with moderate depth and calm currents. The main economic activity is primarily fishing. In earlier years, it was even a production hub for Penghu fishing boats, with seven to eight shipyards operating during its peak. However, as the fishing industry gradually declined, the shipyards' business plummeted. Currently, only one shipyard located in Zhuwan remains in operation. The fishing industry in Zhuwan has also undergone a transformation. Due to its calm waters and vast sea area, it was designated as an experimental sea area for cage aquaculture starting in 1975. Cage aquaculture is a method of artificially raising fish, and currently, pomfret, groupers, and oysters are the main aquaculture products.
