Qingluo Village's Yangming Miaota

In the early days, Qingluo Village's main living area was concentrated in the east, while the western part developed more slowly. Following instructions from Emperor Zhenwu, a stone pagoda was erected on the high ground of 'Shanzaitou', after which the western settlement also began to flourish. The Yangming Miaota seen today was rebuilt in Minzhu 60 (1971), also under the instruction of Emperor Zhenwu. The exact year of its original construction is no longer traceable. Notably, the Yangming Miaota is the only stone pagoda in Penghu said to possess the power to attract rain. Legend has it that during times of prolonged drought, inserting the plant commonly known as 'Daqingcao' (Big Green Grass) into the stone pagoda would guarantee sweet rain a few days later, allowing villagers' crops to grow. The pagoda's location is considered the first star in the 'Seven Stars' geomantic pattern, hence it is also known as the Seven Star Pagoda.
