Xiaomen Village • Iron-Studded Stone Pagoda

Xiaomen Village is geographically nestled within what is commonly known as 'Wangxing Qishan'. Villagers chose to live in low-lying areas, following the mountain terrain, and thus built a pagoda to guard the mountain spirits, preventing negative energy from invading the village. Another legend states that a local villager named Xu, while digging on this hillside with a hoe, disturbed the mountain spirits, leading to mental derangement and incoherent speech. Following instructions from Lord Wen, a stone pagoda was erected to suppress the mountain spirits and bless the residents with peace and safety. The Iron-Studded Stone Pagoda is situated on a hill west of Xiaomen Village and serves to guide fishing boats in and out of the fishing port.
