Xiaomen Village • Zhongying Stone Pagoda

The hill between Xiaomen Village and Zhuhuan Village to its south is commonly known as 'Houying'. Around 1965 to 1966 (ROC calendar years 54-55), several middle-aged villagers successively passed away. The villagers sought help from Zhenyi Temple, and the Third Prince Li (Lǐfǔ Sānqiānsuì) thus delivered a divine message, stating: 'A certain tomb in Houying, facing north from its south-facing position, is directly opposite the village. A pagoda must be immediately built to counteract the malevolent energy (煞氣 shàqì) in order to protect the villagers and ensure their safety.'
