Gupo Islet

Gupo Islet is located northwest of Baisha and southwest of Jibei Islet. It is a mesa-like plateau composed of basalt, stretching approximately 1 kilometer from north to south, making it the largest uninhabited island in the Penghu Archipelago. The entire island reveals many porous basalt formations, with its surface covered by iron-rich quartz sandstone layers, creating a striking contrast. This geological diversity makes it an anomaly among the various islands of Penghu.
