Chenggong Marine Environmental Classroom

The passage of the warm Kuroshio Current has nurtured a rich abundance of cetaceans and marine life in the waters off Chenggong. Located at the yacht marina near Chenggong Xingang Fishing Port, there is a marine environmental classroom. It introduces a wide variety of cetaceans, the process and tools for harpooning marlin as depicted in the movie 'The Wavers,' and Chenggong's unique fishing culture. Through free and engaging guided tours, combined with occasional marine-themed excursions, exhibitions, and whale watching trips, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the precious marine ecology around Taitung. It is highly suitable for families to visit and learn about marine life together.
