Baqi

Traveling along the lengthy Provincial Highway 11, Baqi Lookout is arguably the most beautiful 'turning point' on this route. As you drive from Hualien City and navigate its hairpin bend, the landscape dramatically shifts from lush green mountains on either side to a vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean, with the majestic Coastal Mountain Range towering. From the lookout, gazing eastward reveals a Pacific Ocean so vibrantly blue it makes you forget the weariness of your journey. Looking south, you can also take in a panoramic view of Dashibishan (Stone Nose Mountain) peak, located on the southern side of Jici Bay.
