Green Island Lighthouse

The Green Island Lighthouse, built in 1939, is situated on the northwest coastal highlands of Green Island Township, Taitung. Its structure is a circular reinforced concrete tower. The lighthouse stands on a promontory at the northern end of the airport runway. From its top, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire island. Its pristine white tower, set against the clear blue sea and sky, creates a stunning reflection, making it an ideal backdrop for photographs. As night descends, the lighthouse's beam periodically sweeps across the sky, harmonizing with the countless stars. This beautiful vista also serves as an excellent location for photographers to capture the Milky Way and starry night.
