Yuchang Highway

The Yuchang Highway (Provincial Highway 30) connects Yuli in Hualien with Changbin in Taitung. With a total length of 16.22 kilometers and a road width of 9 meters, it is the only highway that traverses the Coastal Mountain Range via a tunnel (2.66 kilometers long). This significantly shortens the original 2-hour drive to just 30 minutes, allowing visitors to cross the Coastal Mountain Range and fully enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Huadong Valley and the East Coastline.
