New Taipei: Kaji Popcorn Tourist Factory & Theme Park

They successfully brought popcorn consumption habits out of movie theaters and into general sales channels, becoming Taiwan's pioneering brand for multi-flavored popcorn. In August 2009, the factory relocated to the New Taipei Industrial Park. In the same year, its production process passed SGS ISO22000/HACCP certification. The company transitioned from a group-buy brand to a retail brand, officially launching sales in convenience stores, supermarkets, and hypermarkets. This marked its first transformation. In 2011, it obtained Halal certification and began participating in exhibitions for export. In the same year, it was voted the #1 most popular food seller among the top 100 online sellers by netizens in Digital Age magazine. In 2015, an in-house laboratory was established, conducting comprehensive inspections of raw materials, personnel, environment, and equipment. In 2019, the factory moved to Bali. A new cleanroom facility was built, utilizing HEPA filters to purify the factory air. Temperature, humidity, and dust particle counts in the production environment are strictly controlled. The production process was upgraded to meet the internationally GFSI-recognized SGS FSSC22000/HACCP certification. The factory design incorporates energy saving, water saving, heat insulation, and heat retention considerations, comprehensively reducing energy consumption. In December 2020, Asia's first popcorn tourist factory and theme park was established. This marked the brand's second transformation, aiming to re-introduce consumers to the Kaji Popcorn brand. Asia's first popcorn tourist factory is located next to Bali Left Bank in New Taipei City, within an American small-town style building, offering picturesque spots everywhere. Professional staff provide guided tours, where visitors can learn about the history and evolution of popcorn and related everyday knowledge. The cinema-themed DIY classroom offers parent-child handmade DIY activities and motion-sensing interactive games.
