The cement industry is inextricably linked to the economy and people's livelihoods. In 1973 (the 62nd year of the Republic of China), domestic and international cement consumption surged. The Ministry of Economic Affairs proactively requested the Council for Economic Planning and Development to actively prepare for the construction of cement factories to regulate cement demand in central and western Taiwan. Following the Council's directives, our company began preparations in 1974 (the 63rd year of the Republic of China), establishing its headquarters in Taipei and the cement factory in Chiayi. After the government implemented the policy of prohibiting mining in western Taiwan and shifting the cement industry eastward, cement demand and sales entered a period of continuous decline. Our company deeply recognizes the importance and responsibility of the cement industry's co-prosperity with environmental protection. We believe it is essential to convey industrial knowledge about cement to the public, and through educational outreach, raise awareness for environmental friendliness and resource recycling. The Xinxin Cement Chiayi Factory boasts grand and spectacular architecture, featuring a prominent geographical landscape and a unique, eye-catching style. It has been transformed into a postmodern outdoor photo spot (for social media influencers), offering exclusive cement interactive experiences, including cement DIY and digital interactions, along with creative cement souvenirs. As the nation's first cement tourist factory, it is sure to become a popular trend. The cement industry has always had an air of mystery.
