Tainan: Shanhua Beer Tourist Factory

[Evaluation validity period: 2023/11/20~2026/11/19] In the 1970s, the Taiwan Provincial Monopoly Bureau of Tobacco and Wine (the former name of Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation before its restructuring in July 2002) recognized the growing trend in beer sales. In order to adequately supply the large beer market demand in southern Taiwan and the eastern regions, in 1973, it invested NT$ 1.07 billion to build a new brewery capable of producing 7 million dozens of beer annually in Shanhua Township, Tainan County, near Tsengwen Reservoir. This was the Chenggong Brewery (the former name of Shanhua Brewery before its restructuring in July 2002). Subsequently, after the second and third phases of expansion, the current annual production capacity can reach 27.5 million dozens. After its restructuring, Shanhua Brewery upholds its excellent traditions, continues to focus on local cultural characteristics, fostering good neighborly relations, and integrating with local industries. While continuously striving for improvement in its operations, it has successively obtained certifications for multiple management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, TOSHMS, and ISO 22000, ensuring its production operations comply with international standards. ♦Excessive drinking is harmful to health♦ ♦Don't drink and drive; don't drive after drinking♦ ♦No drinking for those under eighteen♦
