Taichung: Master A-Tsang's Taro Cultural Museum

Since entering the industry in 1960, he has always insisted on using local ingredients, meticulously kneading local agricultural products into every pastry with his hands, allowing everyone to savor the authentic flavors of his hometown. He firmly believes that "if making one pastry can support one field to continue blooming and bearing fruit through spring, summer, autumn, and winter," then he will persevere, cultivating a lifelong romance with his hometown's land and crops. He continues to apply his profound pastry-making skills, utilizing local ingredients to develop innovative pastries, aspiring to "launch Greater Taichung as a city of baking culture, making it the creative homeland of new Taiwanese pastries," thereby forging a new path for local industrial culture. Master A-Tsang has been making pastries for over half a century, during which he created many unique Taiwanese local specialty pastries. These include the pioneering taro pastry for state banquets, Taiwan's uniquely shaped "Taiwan Cake No. 1," the Mazu Cake and Ping An Ice Cake from the "Protecting the Nation and People" series, as well as the most popular group-buy items: Gong Gong Xiang taro sticks and scallion cakes. Master A-Tsang is dedicated to promoting Taiwan's local specialty pastry culture and contributing to the local community. He established the "Master A-Tsang's Taro Cultural Museum" in his hometown, Daan District, Taichung City. In addition to preserving and perpetuating local industrial culture, the museum allows visitors to understand traditional pastry culture, Dajia's local taro culture, Daan's local scallion culture, and the story behind the Master A-Tsang brand, thereby attracting tourists and boosting local industrial development.
