Miaoli: Sifang Fresh Dairy Story Museum

[Assessment Validity Period: 2022/04/20~2025/04/19] Sifang's history can be described as one of continuous transformation. Sifang originally started as a garment manufacturer. In the 1980s, with the appreciation of the New Taiwan Dollar and the opening of mainland China, Sifang began to consider its first transformation. Due to the government's protective policies for the livestock industry, Sifang decided to venture into animal husbandry, establishing Sifang Ranch in 1989. However, after entering the livestock industry, they found that labor costs were higher than those of typical small dairy farmers, resulting in lower competitiveness. To enhance competitiveness, they considered a second transformation, assessing that the dairy industry presented an opportunity. Thus, Sifang Dairy Industrial Co., Ltd. was established in 1994. In its early stages, Sifang quickly realized that sales were its biggest challenge in entering the dairy industry. Sifang invested significant effort in product promotion, gradually establishing a firm foothold in the organic channel and direct-to-consumer delivery markets. In 2012, Sifang decided to apply for guidance to become a tourist factory, seeing it as a driving force and locomotive for further product promotion. It successfully passed the assessment in 2015, smoothly entering the tourist factory industry, hoping to further boost the promotion of Sifang products.
