New Taipei: Wangding Time Science and Art Experience Museum

Assessment Validity Period: 2022/10/25~2025/10/24 Wangding, leveraging its integrated proprietary technology, actively transformed to establish its own brand, ATOP World Time watches, and has won numerous international product design awards. It also founded the Time Science and Art Experience Museum, themed around time, which communicates the history and evolution of timekeeping devices, showcases its patented World Time technology, offers tours of the watchmaking process, and provides interactive hands-on assembly experiences. It is a sanctuary of time that integrates knowledge, science, and art. In 1984, Wangding Precision established a factory in Tucheng. Initially, with its own design capabilities and technology, it engaged in the design, development, and manufacturing of stamping molds for precision metal components and precision plastic injection molds. Its business expanded to produce precision components such as parts for electronics, computers, medical equipment, instruments, and precision gears for watches and clocks. Wangding then upgraded and transformed to research and develop quartz movement mechanisms, successfully achieving integrated, modular mass production with a monthly capacity of millions of movement modules. In addition to domestic sales, these were also extensively sold to China, Hong Kong, India, and Southeast Asia, jointly contributing to Taiwan's prosperity as a quartz watch and clock kingdom. Its products have also won multiple international product design awards. In 2012, after its products gained recognition, Wangding re-evaluated its corporate brand image and value enhancement. By transforming into a tourist factory, it established the time-themed Time Science and Art Experience Museum.
