[Evaluation Validity Period: 2023/06/09~2026/06/08] After the victory of the War of Resistance, Mr. Chen Chi-Chih, the founder of Namchow Group, responded to the call of 'serving the nation through industry.' In Taiwan, he established industries such as Hwa Chiang Cloth Store, Tian Chang Trading, Fang Chuan Mining, and Hwa Chiang Coal Mine. In 1952, he teamed up with overseas Chinese friends in the Philippines to acquire the struggling 'Namchow Industrial Co., Ltd.' In February of that year, it was reorganized and established as 'Namchow Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd.' On March 27, it took over the old Namchow soap factory, and production began on March 29, which is commemorated as the factory's founding anniversary. The first product launched was 'Namchow Soap.' In 1974, Namchow's shares were publicly listed. Based on the principles of 'raw material-related, technology-related, channel-related, culture-related,' and sound management, affiliated enterprises were successively established starting in 1979, expanding into diversified operations. From the 1980s to the 1990s, with the advent of the era of global trade, current Chairman Mr. Chen Feilung successively formed strategic alliances or joint ventures with major international manufacturers, serving as chairman or CEO, and leading the development of businesses in Taiwan. These included Taiwan Jiameng, Pond's USA, Procter & Gamble USA, acting as agent for Kellogg's breakfast cereals, and collaborating with Haagen-Dazs USA to establish Taiwan Haagen-Dazs. Until the rise of China's economy, starting from Taiwan and Thailand, Namchow deepened its roots in China, entered the Asian market, operated in niche markets, and marketed its products globally. Namchow's current business divisions include: Home Products Division, Camphor Story, Qinqin Soap, Edible Oils Division, Frozen Dough Division, Flash-Frozen Cooked Noodles Division, Ambient Rice Products Division, Little Chef Slow Noodles, and Namchow Taoyuan Living Experience Park. Additionally, it invests in and operates Royal Koko Co., which produces Du Royale ice cream and Kapriisov Russian ice cream, and Qiaohe Co., which operates professional noodle shops. In recent years, Namchow has opened various themed restaurant chains in Taiwan, including: Dian Shui Lou Jiangzhe Cuisine, Honbachi-ryu Professional Noodle Shop, Paulaner Bräuhaus, Thai-style Restaurants, and Le Voyage du Petit Prince French Restaurant. Namchow Group leverages China and Thailand as its production bases for its global strategic layout. In manufacturing, Namchow is a leading brand in the mid-to-high-end market for food processing oils produced in China. A factory was established in Tianjin's Tanggu District in 1996, with demand outstripping supply. In 2006, the Guangzhou factory was constructed and began production. In 2012, preparations for a factory in Shanghai began, with the first and second plants completed and operational in 2017 and 2018 respectively, serving customers. The Thai Ban Pong factory was established in 1989 to produce snack foods such as thin rice crackers and instant noodles. To date, it has been exported to over 80 countries worldwide, making it one of the main global sources for rice products. In terms of catering services, Namchow established Paulaner Gastronomy Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, opening German beer garden restaurants and Binjiang No. 1 European Cuisine North Bund branch. In 2012, it brought the Taiwanese brand Dian Shui Lou Jiangzhe Cuisine to Shanghai to expand its presence. In Taiwan, starting from 2005, Dian Shui Lou successively opened branches in the northern region, including Nanjing (the first store), Fuxing, Huaining, Nankan, Linkou, and Dazhi. In 2014, Namchow Japan Co. was established to plan and operate Dian Shui Lou Clubhouses and Dian Shui Lou Restaurants. In 2018, the Dian Shui Lou Yotsuya branch opened in Tokyo, Japan. In 2020, a Paulaner Bakery Demonstration Store soft-launched in Guandu, Taiwan, along with Le Voyage du Petit Prince, and the Dian Shui Lou Crystal Clubhouse in Shinjuku, Tokyo, soft-launched, fully expanding its international gourmet catering business.
