Donghua Shadow Puppet Troupe

The Donghua Shadow Puppet Troupe has a history of two hundred years. Originally named 'Dexing Troupe,' it was the most famous local cultural asset in the former Dashe Township. The fifth-generation inheritor, Zhang Decheng (deceased), was simultaneously elected as one of the first National Folk Artists in 1989 (Min Guo 78) along with Li Tianlu and others, and was honored with the status of a national treasure.
