Golden Lion Lake Butterfly Garden

The Butterfly Garden is located on the east side of the Golden Lion Lake Scenic Area. It is the largest netted butterfly garden in Taiwan, boasting a rich variety of butterfly species. With over 30 species, including the Great Mormon, Small White, Painted Jezebel, and Golden Birdwing, the adult butterfly population has peaked at 350 individuals. The total area of the Butterfly Garden, including its indoor exhibits and outdoor park, spans 8,529 square meters. Its two large exhibition halls are filled with butterfly host plants and nectar plants. In the first hall, a 24-meter-long, 4.6-meter-high aerial walkway offers visitors a panoramic view of butterflies in flight. The second hall features an indoor interpretation room where professional guides provide in-depth explanations.
