Taiwan Pineapple Farm

Taiwan has a long history of pineapple cultivation. Dashu District is a major pineapple production area because its geographical environment and climate conditions are highly suitable for pineapple growth. As early as the Qing Dynasty, maps of Taiwan show the placename 'Wanglai Mountain' in Dashu, indicating that people were already growing pineapples there at that time. This has earned Dashu the beautiful reputation as 'The Homeland of Pineapples'.
