Guomao Community

The Guomao Community, also known as Bihai Xincun, is located near the Zuoying Naval Base. Formerly Guomao Third Village, a naval dependents' village, it was once the largest settlement of military dependents' villages in southern Taiwan, with a peak population of nearly 10,000 people. Due to aging housing, it was redeveloped into a complex of apartment buildings, completed in 1985. The main complex comprises 13 buildings, divided into the three neighborhoods of Guomao, Guohui, and Guofeng, providing accommodation for former military dependents and low-to-middle-income households, and can house over 2,000 families.
