Jiaxian Tiantan Yuansong Taizu Temple comprises two major religious buildings: the Altar of Heaven and an auxiliary palace. The Altar of Heaven is built with a circular architectural framework, enshrining Haotian Jinque Zhizun Yu Huang Dadi (the Supreme Jade Emperor of the Golden Portal of Vast Heaven), the Three Holy Buddhas, and the Three Profound Holy Venerables. The center of the Altar of Heaven is supported by eight dragon pillars, symbolizing 'eight dragons upholding the heavens,' while its outer edge is encircled by twelve time-pillars, representing continuous operation. The sky-blue pyramidal roof symbolizes heaven, exuding a magnificent and grand atmosphere.
