Built in 2003, Labor Park, located at the intersection of Zhongshan 3rd Road and Minquan Road in Qianzhen District, is the only park in the country with labor as its theme. The park is shaded by lush trees and filled with fragrant flowers, and its famous weekend flower market is the best spot for the public to relax, enjoy flowers, and engage in gardening. In addition to the Labor Recreation Center and Labor University, the park also features the 'Industrial Accident Memorial' in its square, dedicated to commemorating and mourning laborers who sacrificed their lives due to occupational injuries during periods of economic development. Kaohsiung City is Taiwan's largest industrial city. Labor Park and the 'Industrial Accident Memorial' both aim to raise public awareness of labor welfare and safety, transforming past painful experiences into future vigilance and knowledge, and striving for a safe and secure working environment.
