Visitor Essentials
Nanhai Zizhu Temple's Chinese-style architecture attracts visitors. Geographically, it is situated on a 'floating water lotus' terrain, with the area in front of the temple described as a 'lobster fighting harbor', offering an exceptional environment. The Song Jiang Weapon Museum, located next to the temple, is one of the main attractions. It showcases a variety of Song Jiang weapon artifacts and also features facial mask artworks of the 108 heroes from 'Water Margin'. In terms of martial arts performances, Nanhai Zizhu Temple is known for its dragon formation, which is essentially the dragon dance, evolving from the 'hundred plays' of the Northern and Southern Dynasties. Its dragon formation features a 'Five-Clawed Golden Dragon' measuring 180 feet in length, divided into 13 sections, with its mouth equipped with dry ice and water spraying devices.
