West Harbor Line Bikeway

The harbor line freight railway, which once shouldered Kaohsiung's economic lifeline for nearly six decades, was transformed into the West Harbor Line Bikeway after retiring from its heavy duties. It starts from Fisherman's Wharf in the north, connecting to Gushan Ferry Pier, and extends south to the Dream Mall shopping district on Kaixuan Road. This six-kilometer-long bikeway passes through famous tourist attractions such as Banana Pier, Railway Story Museum, Pier-2 Art Center, Love Pier, the West Harbor Line Cross-River Railway Bridge, and Glory Pier. It connects the essential scenic spots along Kaohsiung Port and an urban green corridor, offering panoramic views of the magnificent harbor city and the beautiful Love River. Cycling along this route is the best way to experience the charm of the harbor city.
