Duck King Zhu Yigui Cultural Park

Zhu Yigui, known as the Duck King, is arguably the most famous figure in Neimen. During the Qing Dynasty, he moved to Taiwan and, along with 52 loyalists, ignited the most sensational anti-Qing, pro-Ming war across Taiwan, even ascending to the throne as emperor. However, due to internal strife, he was eventually captured and executed by Qing forces. But Zhu Yigui's heroic image was deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, so the residents of Neimen District built a temple and shrine for him. The Duck King Shrine and Xing'an Temple were planned together. In front of the temple plaza, there is a well that Zhu Yigui used for drinking and raising ducks. It is said that tea brewed and duck eggs cooked with water from this well have a particularly sweet and tender flavor.
