Shinwei Forest Park

Shinwei Forest Park is located on a terrace on the west bank of the Laonong River in Liugui District, Kaohsiung City, at an elevation of approximately 200 meters. Originally part of the old Laonong River riverbed, it was established as a nursery in the past due to its excellent soil quality, and locals referred to it as 'Pingding'. Spanning 30 jia (approximately 29 hectares), it primarily cultivates tree seedlings, with over 200 varieties propagated, making it one of the largest nurseries in Taiwan. Among these, mahogany, bamboo, and cedar are the most abundant.
