Banana Pier

Banana Pier was an exclusive warehouse for exporting Taiwanese bananas in earlier times. Later, as banana exports gradually declined with the changing times, the banana shed, due to its location at the linear intersection of Kaohsiung's first and second ports, offered views of ships entering and exiting the harbor. The Port Authority named it 'Ocean View Platform' and outsourced its operation, providing intellectual waterfront recreational services. On a weekend afternoon, sitting at the pier's outdoor cafe, with sunlight illuminating the entire harbor and the bright sea sparkling with dazzling light, you can fully enjoy the laid-back and romantic Kaohsiung Port.
