Maolin Valley

Maolin Valley is located on the east side of Maolin Village, at the confluence of the Zhuokou River and its tributary, the Musheng Stream. It was originally named "Lamuso," which means "beautiful valley" in the Rukai language. In the wide Zhuokou River valley, northeast of the Lamuso Suspension Bridge, one can see a beautiful, deep, intensely blue pool. This blue water pool is formed by the Zhuokou River, which meanders through rock walls, converging with its tributary, the Musheng Stream. The Maolin Waterfall cascades down, creating a very spectacular sight. However, there are whirlpools at the bottom of the Blue Water Pool, which locals jokingly call the "Maiden's Trap," so it is not advisable to enter the water for recreation or swimming. Instead, you can visit the elegantly designed pavilion in front of the waterfall to enjoy the view and absorb the vibrant and magnificent natural beauty with your spirit.
