Miaotong Temple is one of the three major Buddhist temples in Liugui District, known for its thriving incense offerings. It is located near the Baolai Hot Spring area, accessible by connecting Provincial Highway 27 to Provincial Highway 20, and then crossing the Laonong River. Surrounded by mountains on all sides, with the Laonong River winding through the valley, the temple's landscape is designed with solemnity and grandeur. Its lotus ponds, pavilions, and lush, well-maintained flora are meticulously arranged, creating a scene like a 'paradise of ultimate bliss'. Its orange roof and white temple body are visible from afar, strikingly set against the backdrop of verdant green mountains. Its elevated position also makes it an excellent spot for overlooking the Laonong River. Miaotong Temple was founded by the Venerable Master Guangqin, who led all his disciples in transforming the originally desolate land. Today, the temple's exterior is majestic, its halls are solemn, and its flora is meticulously cared for and thriving, making the entire temple resemble an earthly Pure Land. Countless pilgrims visit during holidays or the seventh lunar month.
