Muzha in Neimen is the ancestral home of the Siraya people. Muzha Church, founded in 1868, is the spiritual center of this area and Taiwan's third oldest Christian church. In 1871, British photographer John Thomson, invited by Dr. James Maxwell, embarked on a several-day journey in Southern Taiwan. During this time, he visited Muzha Church and took dozens of photographs, which have become extremely precious historical images of Taiwan. Today, Muzha Church has undergone multiple reconstructions. The pure white church continues to stand tall amidst the blue sky and majestic mountains, guiding generations of Muzha residents.
