Xunfeng Battery

The Xunfeng Battery, located behind and to the right of Longshan Temple on Zhongshan Road, was an important stronghold in early times for settlers and trading ships disembarking from Fujian and Guangdong. It guarded the strategic point where the Fengshan River leads to the Qianzhen River estuary, making its strategic position extremely important. Today, only the main battery remains. The battery's walls are arc-shaped, primarily constructed from coral stone and pebbles. The horizontal plaque inscribed with 'Xunfeng' is embedded in the stone wall, flanked by decorative scroll-shaped clay sculptures, adding an artistic touch to the fort's rigid structure.
